Code share with American Airlines

American Airlines and Jet Airways International announced an association comprising code share and the interchange of their mileage programs. American airlines customers can now earn miles on specific Jet airways flights and Jet Airways customers through JetPrivelege program can now earn miles on designated American Airlines flights.

American Airlines will now market and apply its AA flight designator on Jet Airways flights between Delhi and Ahmedabad, Bengaluru (Bangalore), Chennai (Madras), Hyderabad, Kolkata (Calcutta) and Mumbai (Bombay).

Similarly, to connect with its daily flights from New York's JFK Airport to Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai, Jet Airways will apply its 9W designator on American Airlines/American Eagle operated flights between Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Dallas-Fort Worth, Raleigh-Durham, Washington (Reagan) and JFK.

With this partnership, Jet Airways and American Airlines will offer their passengers enhanced connectivity and seamless travel from key U.S. cities to a variety of cities in India - and vice versa. This will help Jet Airways improve its connectivity and reach in the North American market.
