View your google search queries with this tool. It reads the csv file from google webmaster tools.

As promised new version is available. Google Query Stats Tool V2

Google provides webmaster tools which are extremely useful to analyze your website, particularly its performance on google searches. It provides all sorts of data from external links to your webpages to index stats, crawl stats, diagnostics etc. It provides all sort of data to download relating to your website.

One such dataset is Top Search Queries. These are the queries in which your website figured in top results. This data is categorized for locations, search types as well as for your web pages or sub folders. You can download this data in csv format. Although you can view this data online for your main site but you are not able to look at the complete data including sub folders on the google webmaster tools website. Using this GoogleQueryStats tool you will be able to do that offline.

You may need to install dot net framework 2.0 if the exe complains.

Come back as the next version of this program will make it possible to compare search queries from different periods.

Suggestion
By Cumbrowski on Sunday, February 10, 2008 (CST)

I wrote a blog post about a year ago about this and somebody posted a comment a few days ago with a link to this page. Here is the original post

I created a web based tool that is similar to yours. See the tool here.

I would like to suggest a few new features for your desktop version.

One would be the same that my tool offers (because it had to), the output or saving of the data in a different, spreadsheet like,  format. I offer a few more options with mine, to make it more versatile and it wasn;t hard to do so...

The second thing is the option to pull data automatically from Google webmaster central. It is easier to do with a windows desktop application (you can use the IE browser object in windows) than it is with a web based one. The second problem is security and trust. You have to ask people for their username and password for Google. Which means that you need SSL and most of all "trust of the people" to give you that information.  That is much less of a problem with a desktop based tool on the users own computer.

You can contact me via my website at  http://www.cumbrowski.com/contact/ if you would like to discuss this further (or let me know of an updated version). I will go ahead and refer to your tool from my web based on and also offer it for download from my server as backup.

Cheers!

Carsten, One of the constraints I have imposed on myself for the time is that the application should be single file with no installation needs.(Assuming dot net framework is present). Your suggestions are very good in ideal situation I would like to implement them. I would take your suggestions in account if I decide on installation package for the application.
