Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh. Daljit veer u r probably misled.. U are unaware of certain facts... n rather than a comment u shud hav post a question y is it so??? Wel, Agreed with you that keeping unshorn hair was not expressly said but any of the nine gurus.. And da dasam pita Saheb Guru Gobind Singh ji oderd us to hav unshorn hair.. Bt dear u need to understand that eventhough not expressly stated but from the initial tym itself this reht was followed by all the Gurus and their families and associated impliedly.. Not just Gurujis had unshorn hair but Bhai Bala ji, Bhai Mardana ji had them... Move Further take any one Bhai Gurdass ji even had his hair unshorn.. So what i mean is even though not expressly stated but it was impliedly there and the tenth master just formalised it in the form of official rehit maryada.... Cumin to Guru Granth Sahib ji... There are various panktis where Gid is described to have hairs.. U may refer http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Guru_Granth_Sahib_on_hair Hope this solves your query...
