Election of Oxford Sri Guru Singh Sabha Executive Committee members

I would like to inform all the sadh Sangant that the elections for 2008-2009, to appoint the Executive Committee members of Oxford Sri Guru Singh Sabha (OSGSS) will be held at 69 Cherwell Drive, Marston, Oxford, OX3 0ND, on 27th April 2008. The election process will be administered by a 3-person Election Committee unanimously elected by the Sadh Sangat as per constitution.

In order to give transparency, fairness and probity to the election process, it is important that we follow Rules 8, 9, 11 and 19 of the OSGSS Constitution at every stage of the proceedings.

The closing date for nominations for the Executive committee members is 13th April 2008. Registered members wishing to seek an appointment may do so through self-nomination. It is critical that any such nominations are in the possession of the General Secretary by 12:00am, on 13 April 2008. Late nominations will be invalidated and excluded from the election process.

Further information on the elections or the clauses of the Constitution that apply to the election process may be obtained from the OSGSS President.

I would like to inform all the sadh sangat that the AGM also be held on 19th April 2008, therefore all the sadh sangat is requested to attend the AGM and forward their opinions to improve the service.
