Kingfisher Airlines and Emirates comes up with Frequent Flyer Alliance
Kingfisher Airlines and Emirates Airline which have frequent flyer program for their respective customers have come up with an alliance that will expanding the benefits offered to members of their frequent flyers programs. Thus it will provide reciprocal benefits to each others frequent flyer members. Alliance which will be effective from march first envisages that both parteners will explore and embark on mutually beneficial marketing oppurtunities. Members of frequent flyers programs of both airlines will be able to accrue points as per the actual miles flown and a 100 per cent bonus for business class flights of the other airline. Redemption will begin with 7,500 miles on economy class for one way flights on Kingfisher to select destinations.
Landscape Cameras on Domestic Flights
Kingfisher Airlines will install landscape cameras on all its airbus aircraft, as a special feature, to enable travelers view the scenery on the ground. Two cameras near the nose-landing gear will enable the guests to watch the landscape the aircraft flies over. This service, available only in some international airlines, is being introduced for the first time in the domestic sector.
Nonstop flight from US to India
Kingfisher airlines had applied to Department of Transportation in US for non stop flights from US to India. Kingfisher Airlines initially intends to offer long haul nonstop services from a major city in India to one city in US Northeast and one city in US West coast. This is in consistance with the bilateral agreement between the United states and India for open skyes.
