Flying cheap between India and Singapore

Jetstar Asia is one of many flights who provide cheap fares for flights to India although there destinations in Idia are limited. They usually have promotional fares which are good, even with taxes included - get one way fare, then purchase the return flight from India. Drawback with such budget airlines is flexibility. If you want to change your travel date, you have to top up any difference. If you want to cancel your trip, you don't get a refund.

If you prefer a conventional airline, try several travel agents. Mustafa Travels, part of the Mustafa Centre Shopping Centre in Singapore, has pretty extensive services. Singapore Airlines is usually very expensive, and their promotional fares only apply if you have 2 or 4 in a group. There are also some limitations on the ticket; i.e. all members of the party have to return together, within a certain time. Thai Airlines has quite an extensive route into India, too, usually via Bangkok. Jet Airways is as expensive as Singapore Airlines, and so is Air India. Sri Lankan and Biman (Bangladesh) also have decent and cheap fares but with stopovers.
